John Yarmuth

John Yarmuth is a retired American politician born in 1947. He had a notable career in politics, serving as the U.S. representative for Kentucky's 3rd congressional district from 2007 to 2023. During his tenure, his district included the majority of Louisville, Kentucky, an area that coincides with Jefferson County following their merger in 2003.
Yarmuth held significant positions during his time in office, including being the sole Democratic member of Kentucky's congressional delegation from 2013 onward. He also chaired the House Budget Committee from 2019 to 2023, playing a key role in shaping the country's budgetary decisions.
