Josh Green (politician)

Joshua Booth Green is a physician and politician who has been serving as the governor of Hawaii since 2022. Prior to his gubernatorial role, Green held various positions within the state's government. He was a member of the Democratic Party and served as the 15th lieutenant governor of Hawaii from 2018 to 2022.

Before assuming the lieutenant governor position, Green was a member of the Hawaii State Legislature for 14 years, from 2004 to 2018. His experience in the legislature and as lieutenant governor laid the groundwork for his eventual role as the ninth governor of Hawaii, a position he has held since 2022.
