Lawrence H. Siegel, known as Larry Siegel, was an American comedy writer and satirist who made significant contributions to various forms of media. His work spanned television, stage, magazines, records, and books, showcasing his versatility as a writer. Siegel's career was marked by notable achievements, including his time as Head Writer on The Carol Burnett Show, where he won three Emmy Awards over four seasons.

Siegel's impressive portfolio also includes work on other prominent television shows, such as Laugh-In, as well as contributions to esteemed publications like Mad Magazine and Playboy. His tenure at Mad Magazine lasted almost 33 years, earning him a place among the "usual gang of idiots." A WWII Veteran, Siegel holds the unique distinction of being the only American comedy writer to have won an Emmy and received a Purple Heart.
