Peter Lantos

Peter Lantos is a British scientist and author of Hungarian Jewish origin, whose life's work has spanned multiple fields. Born into a Jewish family in Hungary, he endured the atrocities of the Holocaust, ultimately surviving this tumultuous period. Following his experiences during World War II, Lantos pursued a career in medicine, undertaking medical studies that would lay the foundation for his future professional endeavors.

Lantos relocated to the United Kingdom in 1968, where he established himself as a medical researcher with a specialization in neurodegenerative diseases. After retiring from his medical career, he redirected his focus towards literature, drawing upon his personal history to author books aimed at both adult and child audiences. These writings serve as a testament to his experiences during the Holocaust, and he has become involved in Holocaust education, using his story to inform and educate others about this significant period in history.
