Raymond Apple (rabbi)

Raymond Apple was a prominent Australian-Israeli rabbi who spent his career serving in various countries. Born in 1935, he went on to become a respected figure in the Jewish community, working in England and Australia before eventually retiring to Israel. As the Senior Rabbi of The Great Synagogue of Sydney from 1972 to 2005, Apple held a position of great influence, becoming one of Australia's most well-known rabbis.
