Joshua Oppenheimer

Joshua Oppenheimer is a filmmaker with dual American and British citizenship, born in 1974. He is currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he has established himself as a prominent figure in the film industry. Oppenheimer's work has garnered significant recognition, including the direction of two Oscar-nominated films: The Act of Killing, released in 2012, and The Look of Silence, which followed in 2014.

In addition to his film career, Oppenheimer has received several notable honors. He was awarded a Marshall Scholarship in 1997, recognizing his academic achievements.
