Shalom haLevi Rozenfeld

Shalom haLevi Rozenfeld, commonly referred to as Rabbi Shalom of Kaminka, was a prominent figure in Eastern European Judaism during the 19th century. Born in 1800, he gained recognition as a respected scholar in Hasidic Judaism, earning the distinction of being a zaddik and kabbalist. His teachings and wisdom have been preserved through various collections of Hasidic stories and tales, which often feature his insightful sayings and lessons.

Rabbi Shalom of Kaminka served as a rabbi and Av Beit Din in two notable locations: Novyi Yarychiv and Kamianka-Buzka. Both of these communities were situated in the Austro-Hungarian province of Galicia, near the city of Lviv. Through his leadership and guidance, he played a significant role in the spiritual lives of those around him. His life's work and legacy continued until his passing in 1851, leaving behind a lasting impact on the world of Hasidic Judaism.
